Imagine looking directly at the sun, I doubt you can do it. Although, if the conditions are right or perhaps God has some filters on the sun, you can put on shades and try to eliminate some of the brightness. Then, you can look toward the sun, but when the sun is shining brightly, you cannot look directly at it. Too much exposure causes damage to the eye.
Now, imagine God, for a moment, who is so much brighter than the sun… He who created the Sun, and He who shines with so much brightness you would die if you looked upon Him. This is as it was written when Moses went before Him. God appeared to Moses in the burning bush, just to give one example. Exodus – Chapter 3
The simple truth is, we are limited to what we see, believe or could even comprehend.
Many times we think God is not there because we don’t feel or see His presence, but He is there as surely as the sun is. Even when it is hidden behind the fog or clouds. Just because, we do not see the sun does not mean it is not there. God is always there.
This is where Faith kicks in. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Our Faith grows stronger as we grow in age and wisdom, faith doesn’t just “happen”. We begin as a “baby” or young follower of Christ. Often we skin our knees, sometimes our heads and perhaps our hearts. But we continue on, as we grow.
As humans, we want to run without the in between steps, just as a toddler would. However, we must first learn to walk [physically, as well as spiritually,] with God, IF we want to run later on.
There were many times when you were learning to walk, you fell, skinned your knees, but you got back up and tried again… because learning to walk is important if you want to reach the prize that is in front of you. The one who was teaching you the steps, was never far away. That person would pick you up and let you start again.
The sun is present in the pictures above and below. I simply adjusted the setting. God often does that with our view of Him.
